Tomintoul - Five Decades - 50th Anniversary

The Five Decades was released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Tomintoul Distillery, which started distilling in 1965. Master Distiller Robert Fleming personally selected casks from 1965, 1975, 1985, 1995, and 2005 to represent the flavours from 50 years of craftmanship at the distillery.

Colour: Barley gold.

Nose: A swirl of sweet malt and a hint of exotic fruit chased by a wave of mixed nuts and a whiff of the inside of cigar boxes.

Palate: A complex melange of guava fruit, hazelnuts and almonds girdled by rich oak tones.

Finish: Soft oaky spice with a ginger and pepper finale.
