Bad na h-Achlaise- Port Cask Finish

Badachro Distillery is a small family run highland distillery located on the north west coast of Wester Ross. Their single malt whisky is initially distilled in another Highland distillery and brought to Badachro where it is matured, vatted and finished in a range of individually nosed and selected fortified wine, red wine and rum casks.

This is their single malt, un-peated ruby port cask finish whisky , full of sweet fruitiness

Tasting Notes From The Distillery.

Nose:   A delicious preserve of cooked ripened fig with warmed brown sugar, followed by a conserve of stewed berries. 

Palate: Up front a rich yet mellow hit of matured fruit and nutty characteristics leading to a subtle hint of liquorice whilst a sweet spice blend coats the roof.

Finish:  Some citrus at first, then tart red fruits followed by an incredibly long sweet, nutty, oily, oaky finish that just keeps going.
